My Daughter's Experience at DIVA - WOW Outdoor Spring Clinic
Experience the Thrill of Outdoor Shooting Sports at DIVA's Spring Clinic
In late March, my family and I had the pleasure of attending an exciting event - DIVA's Spring Outdoor Sports Clinic, organized by a group of enthusiastic and empowering women.
It was a clinic offered to girls and women to give them an introduction to outdoor shooting sports.
Throughout the day, participants were able to rotate through a variety of stations where instructors provided instruction on different safety aspects.
They also went over shooting techniques for a variety of different outdoor shooting sports including handgun, archery, fly fishing, shot guns, black powder and more.
What is DIVA WOW?
DIVA WOW (Women Outdoors Worldwide) is an international non-profit organization dedicated to empowering women through outdoor activities and education.
Founded in 2009, DIVA WOW has grown into a vibrant community of women who share a passion for hunting, fishing, shooting, and other outdoor pursuits.
The organization offers a range of programs and events, including guided hunting and fishing trips, shooting clinics, and wilderness skills workshops, all designed to help women gain confidence, skills, and knowledge in the great outdoors.
DIVA WOW also promotes conservation and ethical hunting practices, and is committed to preserving the natural resources and habitats that make these activities possible.
Joining the Sisterhood
This energetic, passionate and friendly group is truly more of a sisterhood than an organization.
Instantly upon meeting them at the reception, they invited Kinsey Rhea to be part of their spring clinic, and invited my daughter to take part in the clinic, too.
As a mother, I am truly drawn to business opportunities when I can bring one of my daughters to be a part of the experience.
These experiences are how I am able to show my daughters other strong female leaders in action, pursuing passions and hobbies.
Connecting with Like-Minded Women
The beautiful spring weather in Texas created the perfect atmosphere for outdoor activities.
Kinsey Rhea had a booth with our products setup at the main pavilion, so we got to see all attendees throughout the day during break times.
It was a great way to connect with other women who share our passion for shooting sports. We were able to show our products while also being able to listen to what women are looking for when it comes to concealed carry.
We loved listening to these women speak about their different passions and experiences with shooting sports.
More importantly, being surrounded by other women who were also passionate about shooting provided a sense of community and support that is so important in any hobby or interest.
The clinic gave us the chance to meet and interact with other women who were eager to learn and grow in the sport, and to exchange ideas and knowledge.
Overall, the experience was both rewarding and valuable, and we were grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a supportive and empowering community of women.
Empowering Young Women
The icing on the cake was seeing my husband and daughter have an incredible experience at the DIVA WOW spring clinic, where our daughter was able to explore different shooting stations and learn about gun safety from women leaders in the field.
Not only did she have the opportunity to try out various firearms and sharpen her skills, but she also got to see women in action who were passionate about the sport and knowledgeable about gun safety.
The event provided a fun and supportive environment where she was able to ask questions, learn from others, and make new friends who share her interests.
Through the guidance of experienced women shooters, my daughter gained valuable insights and practical tips that she can carry with her in her future shooting endeavors.
