Live Like Mamaw: Embrace Strength, Preparedness, and Style

Live Like Mamaw: Embrace Strength, Preparedness, and Style
During J.D. Vance's acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention, he mentions the woman that that had considerable impact on his life, his "Mamaw". As he says in his speech,

"I had a guardian angel by my side. She was an old woman who could barely walk but she was tough as nails. I called her “Mamaw,” the name we hillbillies gave to our grandmothers."

After hearing his speech, and I left thinking about his "Mamaw" and even my own "Mamaw". (If you grew up in the south, most likely you had either a "Mamaw" or "Memaw" in your life.) Personally, my Mamaw was raised during the depression and endured many hardships in her lifetime.

These women embodied resilience, strength, and an unwavering commitment to family. Their no-nonsense approach to life, including their readiness to protect there loved ones, making them powerful role model.

At Kinsey Rhea, we believe in empowering women to live confidently and safely, much like these Mamaws. Here’s what we can learn from them and how it aligns with our mission.

1. Strength and Independence

Mamaw's strength is legendary. She faced life's challenges head-on, never backing down. At Kinsey Rhea, we design our concealed carry purses with this same spirit. Our products are crafted to help women feel secure and independent, knowing they have the means to protect themselves if needed.

2. Preparedness

Mamaw was always prepared for any situation, often having more guns than necessary, as Vance recounts. Our concealed carry purses are designed with this in mind, offering practical and stylish solutions for women who want to be ready for anything.

3. Family Protection

Mamaw’s dedication to her family’s safety is a is talked about in Vance's memoir, Hillbilly Elegy. During he speech he shared this sentiment, "Now, my Mamaw died shortly before I left for Iraq, in 2005. And when we went through her things, we found 19 loaded handguns.

Now, the thing is, they were stashed all over her house. Under her bed, in her closet. In the silverware drawer. And we wondered what was going on, and it occurred to us that towards the end of her life, Mamaw couldn’t get around very well. And so this frail old woman made sure that no matter where she was, she was within arms’ length of whatever she needed to protect her family. That’s who we fight for. That’s American spirit."

Our products are not just about personal safety but about ensuring peace of mind for the whole family. A concealed carry purse can be a key part of a comprehensive safety plan, helping mothers and wives protect their loved ones. But more than anything we want women to feel confident in their safety whether at home or about.

4. No Compromise on Style

Mamaw’s tough exterior didn’t mean she sacrificed other aspects of her identity. Similarly, our purses are designed to be both functional and fashionable. You don’t have to compromise on style to stay safe. Our collection offers a variety of designs that cater to different tastes, ensuring you look good while feeling secure.

Mamaw's life lessons of strength, preparedness, protection, and empowerment are at the heart of Kinsey Rhea's mission. Their love and support for our country and raising the next generation to continue their legacies.

By incorporating these values into our products, we hope to help women everywhere live with the same confidence and resilience that these Mamaws exemplified.

Go forward and "Live like Mamaw".
